Lasa at Kuwento ng Pamayanang Pilipino

Posting Date

We cordially invite you to "Lasa at Kuwento ng Pamayanang Pilipino" (Taste and Tales)

A meal, when shared, is already a feast in itself; a meeting of individuals, a sharing and exchange of stories and meanings. Food preparation and cooking meals speak of the culture, personify part of the identity, and relive the history of communities. Not just the food, but the stories that are in the ingredients themselves - where it comes from, how it is planted and harvested, what it gives to the body - these stories spill over to the traditions of farming families and our agricultural heritage; to the cultures, beliefs and oral history of indigenous clans. Food speaks both of tastes and tales. Food is basic, is a matter of survival, and is a universal right.
