Oskar’s unique combination of expertise in finance, impact investing, and private sector engagement—aligns closely with the mission of Samdhana and would greatly enrich its Fellows’ Programme. Beyond his technical capabilities, Oskar is deeply committed to community-based development and driven by a passion for creating innovative solutions to combat poverty and inequality. His approach is grounded in empathy and collaboration, making him a compelling leader in development spaces.

With over two decades of experience across Wall Street finance, entrepreneurship, and microfinance, Oskar brings a rare blend of strategic insight and practical execution to global development. Since 2014, he has held regional and global leadership roles at Oxfam and currently heads the Inclusive Green Economy and Finance (IGEF) Programme in Cambodia, addressing issues at the intersection of gender, climate resilience, private sector growth, and green finance across the Mekong Region. His portfolio includes high-impact initiatives such as GRAISEA, CAPFISH, Block Rice, I-SME, and Fair Finance Cambodia. Educated in the U.S. and U.K., and rooted in Bangladesh, Oskar offers a culturally attuned and globally informed perspective—championing partnerships and innovation to drive sustainable and inclusive change throughout Asia.
