Addressing the intersection of Gender Equality, Poverty and Climate Change
Samdhana Institute participates in the ICONIQ Impact Climate Equity Co-Lab to address needs where poverty, climate change impact and gender equality intersect. Through the contribution of ICONIQ, we are increasing support and resources forIndigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs) across Southeast Asia, to address poverty and climate change impacts, with the active involvement and leadership of women, youth, next generation leaders, and diffables (differently-abled persons).
The support, channeled through the ICONIQ project, and complemented through the other Samdhana programmes, aims to capacitate IPLC grassroots institutions and local civil society organizations (CSOs) to enable them to advance gender equity and inclusion, and lead in community innovations to address poverty and impacts of climate change.
