Scott Dupree is the Coordinator of the Greengrants Alliance of Funds. He has extensive experience in helping to build and strengthen civil society organizations and action. He was regional director for Southern African programs at the Synergos Institute in New York City and a founding director of Conectas Human Rights in Sao Paulo, Brazil. His interest in the power of communication and activism has led him to work with organizations concerned with social justice, human rights and the environment. He has worked to help build and strengthen dozens of grantmaking foundations and civil society organizations in Southern Africa, Brazil and other countries. Scott holds a Masters Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and a BA in Liberal Arts from St. John's College. Scott is also a doctoral candidate at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at Denver University, working on a thesis on civil society in Zimbabwe.
